“…. and that leads me to something I have wanted to talk to you about ever since I first heard you were coming to live in England. In arranging your future work do please consider the needs of the Experimental Circle and “Notes and Correspondence” – I shall not be able to carry on much longer and am much concerned about what is going to happen when I have to withdraw – George Corrin has his heart in the Circle and has been a very great support and I am sure will continue to do all he can but David and Cynthia are very jealously watching any time he spends outside the work for the BD association. I think it is very important that the Circle is allowed to keep its identity as a free living organism and not as a branch of an organisation – Any tendency towards it being swallowed up by the Association either for ease of administration or any other reason should be guarded against.”
