Hermann Popplebaum
1891 - 1979
When Dornach tried to establish a new body for biodynamics in the UK Hermann Popplebaum was asked to be the agricultural advisor. He it was who dared to grasp the explosive issue of the difference between animals and humans in his book “Man and Animal and their essential difference.“

In 1963 the Natural Science section that Günther Wachsmuth had run for so many decades divided its duties and a new Nutrition and Agriculture section was formed. Popplebaum took over the Natural Science section.
