V l V sent on their newsletter. It would be sooooo good to have got something like this off the ground in the UK. Takers ....?

January 2017

Members of Viva la Vida gathered together and welcomed the New Year with a tradition of grinding the ingredients for Hugo Erbe’s Three Kings Preparation: gold, frankincense, and myrrh. This event, when we maintain silence during the midnight hour, has become a welcome festival celebration as we look back over the year, offer gratitude for what has passed, and look forward with joyful anticipation to what the future holds. Turns out the future is moving to meet us faster than we imagined. Please read on for our very big and very exciting news!

For Viva la Vida Foundation, our retrospective began exactly one year ago, when a group of individuals who had been studying with Enzo Nastati and putting into practice his techniques and methods, conceived of the idea to form a foundation with the goal to build the Colin Dunbar School of Spiritual Agriculture. By the end of January, we applied for our 501(c)(3) status, which was granted in a record 10 days.

Through February and March we wrote, refined, filed, and implemented all foundation policies and fulfilled all state and federal requirements. By April, we had designed and formulated scientific trial protocols to be performed on three local farms.

From May until October we worked on those trials. During that time, we also prepared the land and special soils in which to plant over 260 fruits and nuts. These trees, silently sprouting in the earth this winter, will be planted in the new orchard at the foundation’s farm school.

November and December kept us occupied with decision-making and the beginning of a genuine search for the farm where the school will be built.

We spent the last week of December writing a business plan for the expansion of the dairy to include cheesemaking, expanded sales to customers, a distribution plan, and the eventual building of the new dairy facility. The 5-year plan brings us to a sustainable level at the dairy which can then be folded into the school providing experience as well as income.

Literally, within a few weeks of our commitment to the search for a new location for Viva la Vida, the perfect farm came knocking at our door. Through a dear and dedicated friend, we were put in touch with a man who owned a farm at the base of our beloved Lamborn Mountain in Paonia. Though the farm was not listed for sale, when the owner heard of our vision he recognized a spiritual gift being offered him, and he wanted to accept that gift. He has worked faithfully and honestly to make the transaction honorable and timely.

Now, the most exciting news. On Epiphany, January 6th, we contracted to purchase a beautiful 36-acre farm with a creek and wildlands, cereal crops and pastureland, wildlife and beauty. The Board of Directors gathered together and walked the land in 14” of new snow. We offered gratitude and support and welcomed the spiritual movement manifesting in this venture. It was a beautiful exchange bringing us into resonance with the land, the elements, and all that is unfolding in Space and Time.

Thus, we enter the new year with a new farm and a plan for the building of the Colin Dunbar School of Spiritual Agriculture. The Board of Directors is filled with hope and gratitude for the future and a renewed dedication to our mission.

Enzo will be returning to Paonia in May and offer some short workshops. We will announce them in an upcoming newsletter, but you are always welcome to contact us directly by email: vivalavida.paonia@gmail.com. Once we know the schedule and what topics will be covered, we will send out a notice. During Enzo’s visit, we will be doing some work on the new farm. If you’d like to join us and help, there is always work to be done. Please let us know your interest.

We invite you to join us on this path. Please visit our website at www.vivalavidafoundation.org. You can become a member through our website and stay abreast of all that is entering and all we are accomplishing. Join a committee, help us with trials or our building projects. We have much to do and it’s all exciting!

Warm Regards,

Viva la Vida Foundation Board of Directors
