CONFERENCE
Less than 100 years ago, Rudolf Steiner proposed the Biodynamic agriculture as a challenging alternative to the problems emerged from the conventional farming system. He based this new approach on the paradigms of soil fertility and plant health, as opposed to the reductionist method of conventional agriculture based on the binomial fertilizer-pesticide.
The starting point of Biodynamic agriculture is the banning of chemicals in plant cultivation and animal husbandry, the utilisation of good agricultural practices and the recognition of the value of biodiversity.
Biodynamic agriculture is based on the “homeopathic”use of preparations and on the influence of lunar rhythms and planets on plant and animal behaviour.
This approach limited the discussion with the scientific community for several years. The world-wide increasing expansion of Biodynamic agriculture requires a more stringent dialogue with the scientific research: indeed in the last years many scientific studies on Biodynamic agriculture have been published, proving the need for a commonly agreed evaluation of Biodynamic farming.
This Conference aims to be a forum for the presentation of new advances and research results in the fields of Biodynamic agriculture. The conference will bring together leading academic scientists, researchers and scholars from around the world, and give occasions for interactions between scientists, experts and practitioners.

Re: Biodynamic Research Conference 2015
For the record this was cancelled. I received this email
This may be considered by some to reflect the state of BD research. We are sorry to communicate that, due to the limited amount of abstract submissions, the Scientific Committee of the Conference took the unfortunate decision to cancel the Conference.
The files of your abstract submission will be erased and no use will be made whatsoever by the Conference Organization.
We like to thank you once again for your interest in the Conference.
With our best wishes.
