Nux vomica ON SORGHUM SEEDLINGS TREATED WITH ALUMINUM

ABSTRACT: It was evaluated the effect of Nux vomica at dynamizations 6, 18 and 30 cH on sorghum seedling growth treated with Al. Sorghum seeds were soaked in different homeopathic treatments for 24 hours. After this period, the seeds were transferred to Petri dishes containing sand moistened with AlCl3 6,0x10-4M e CaCl2 10- 3M (pH 4,1). After 72h were determined shoots lengths (CPA) and root length (CR) plus the dry mass of both parties. Peroxidase enzyme activity was evaluated in the roots in order to check whether there changes on oxidative metabolism of the plant. The experiment was arranged in a completely randomized design with 4 treatments and 5 replications. The data were analyzed by ANOVA and means were compared by the Scott-Knott test at 5%. The dynamizations 18 and 30 cH showed higher means on all variables studied, except in the enzyme activity compared to control. The results suggest that Nux vomica homeopathy can assist in the recovery of plants under effect of Al3 +.
