PREVENTION AND CONTROL OF TICKS IN CATTLE THE USE OF HOMEOPATHIC MEDICINES

VM Fulber, SF Muller, M Schmoeller, PA Favorito, APGS Wengrat

Abstract: Ticks infestations are common in dairy cattle herds and cutting. They are
responsible for serious damage to production and health of animals. In this study it was
possible to evaluate the use of homeopathic medicines in the treatment and control of
infected animals. In 61% of the properties, there was total control of infestations, while
the remaining 39% were identified parallel factors that hampered the efficiency of
drugs. Of animals observed, 1.7% showed symptoms of parasitic tristesa and were
treated with homeopathy and all recovered without any mortality. Thus confirming that
the use of homeopathy in the prevention and control of ticks and parasitic tristesa is
very efficient, with the guarantee of residual chemical free product without pollution
and respecting to animal welfare.

Keywords: rasiteectopas, parasitic tristesa, treatment of animals.
