ABSTRACT: Plant mitochondria play a central role in the carbon metabolism carbon
and energy. Thus, the aim of this work was to evaluate the effects of different
dinamizations of homeopathic drug Bryonia alba in oxygen consumption by alternative
oxidase pathway (AOX) in embryos and root tips of soybean (Glycine max. L. Merrill.).
Respiration from embryos and root apices were measured polarographically. It was
found that the dinamization produced metabolic disorders in embryos and root apices
submitted to different oxygen uptake in different periods of growth.

Key words: high dilution, mitochondrial energetic metabolism.
