Spirit of Place - Aonghus Gordon's talk at the Biodynamic Assoc Conf 2019
Aonghus Gordon, Founder and Executive Chair of Ruskin Mill Trust - www.rmt.org - talking about Spirit of Place, and the Genius Loci process which has been reinvented at Ruskin Mill. In classical Roman religion, a genius loci was the protective spirit of a place. It was often depicted in religious iconography as a figure holding attributes such as a cornucopia, patera or snake. Many Roman altars found throughout the Western Roman Empire were dedicated to a particular genius loci. This fastinating talk was given as a keynote address to the Biodynamic Association's Conference in Stourbridge 2019.
