Marina Portugal Torres
Abstract: The Botanical Garden of Belo Horizonte Zoobotânica Foundation (JB/FZBBH) acts for biodiversity, searching in their actions to adopt and disseminate practices that contribute to environmental conservation. The use of homeopathic preparations in plants in JB/FZB-BH began in 2003. In the last 10 years more than 80 works and projects have been developed mainly with plants in non-equilibrium conditions (phytosanitary problems, weak development, low vitality), germination of seeds, rooting cuttings, worm humus production among others. According to the symptoms presented, choice of remedies, dosages and period of implementation were made based on watching references, but, also by analogy with the Materia Medica. The applications of remedies in plants were made with the use of pots, sprayers and water from irrigation system. We have been chosen recent works that showed interesting results such as: use of homeopathic preparations to remedy damage caused by hailstorms in Handroanthus serratifolius (Vahl) S.O.Grose, Cycas revoluta Thunb., pests in Gossypium hirsutum L., Lafoensia pacari A.St.-Hil., Eugenia uniflora L., palm seedlings treatment through homeopathy, radionics and dowsing beside treating infested Ficus sp by whitefly. It is expected that these examples serve to stimulate and can be used as themes for more research and work about homeopathy on plants and the environment.
