Seasonal exercise

Post by Mark »

The invitation and initiative below is from Patrick MacManaway:

_______

Dear Friends !

Greetings of the Festive Season impending... hoping that all will be enjoying feasting family and friends.

Quick easy and fun project that I want to offer out to any who might be inclined to help focus and cultivate hearts and minds through the time of close sharing that the Solstice bring to us this time of year -

• weigh out two samples of seeds for sprouting as near the same as you can manage

• germinate them in separate trays under the same conditions of sunlight and water

• imbue one tray only with all the love and blessings that you can muster, as often as you think or feel to do it

• weigh the germinated sprouts after a few days have gone by and look for differences in weight, root and shoot development

• let me know how you get on and I shall share any results that we all achieve...

.....

Enjoy the turn of the tide and do let me know how your sprouts grow,

all blessings

From BdNow - a few related stories:

More specifically to BD-Now, at the 2011 Holistic Gardening Workshop at Friendly Haven Rise Farm, we included subtle energy broadcasting seed treatments.

Jacqueline and Ruby raised flats of sprouts ahead of the weekend as a demonstration for that portion of the workshop. They sent love and special vocalizations to a select group of seedlings. The improvements to growth compared to un-treated flats of seedling was visually obvious to the folks attending at the workshop.

... so glad you brought that up. It was lots of fun and the results were quite obvious.

We made trays of good soil and then planted seeds to grow into sprouts. Though they all got sun, water, and good soil, we kept aside a few that we "beamed love into." I didn't do that constantly, only when I looked at them or thought of them through the day. I just communicated to the seeds that I love them and hold them in my heart that they grow into their fullest expression. It was very simple and easy to do.

The sprouts took off! They were 50% taller, had a more vibrant green color and were easily twice as lush as the others.

The hardest part was not loving the other seeds as much. I had to reel myself in and I'm not good at that. For the sake of the class I could do it but not for long. Soon as class was over I went back to loving them all.

You can also check out this little experiement, inspired by Masanoru Emoto:
http://arcadellavita.forumattivo.it/t49 ... saru-emoto

(I read it via Google translate. With Google Chrome this is easy.)

Boiled rice was put in three jars. One got love, one got hate and one got indifference. The loved one kept well, the hated one fouled and the neglected one fouled much worse.

I think the difference between the last two is interesting. We are sometimes too afraid of negative emotions, while no emotions at all can be worse.

And who did the appreceating and unappreciating? It could be interesting if you tried several appreciaters separately, giving them a batch of wheat seeds each.
