Effect of biodynamic production techniques and effective microorganisms (EM) in the quality of the compost in conditions of agricultural experimental station of Inta Mendoza - Argentina.
Villanueva-Reategui, J
Before the increase of agro-industrial waste generation and its value as an alternative to be used as organic fertilizer, through the preparation of compost applying new technologies to obtain a quality product. The objective in the thesis is to study the process of compost in the treatment of agroindustrial supplies through the incorporation of biodynamic preparations and effective microorganisms. It took place at the Agricultural Experimental Station Mendoza- INTA, where physical, chemical and microbiological characteristics were evaluated, and completely randomized experimental design was used. The test includes three treatments: conventional, biodynamic and effective microorganisms (EM), with three replicates each one. The statistical analysis was carried out through the analysis of variance, and the differences among treatment means were determined by Turkey test (P<0.05). It is possible to conclude that the inoculation of biodynamic preparations and effective microorganisms (EM-1) has no effect on the composting process. The application of these preparations did not alter physical, chemical and biologic properties with respect to the conventional treatment under the experimentation conditions. The recommendation is to use this product in organic crops for being a quality product.
