Slugs - very successful, Rats - not so successful. (264)
My wife is a great feeder of birds and from our front window we can see all the feeders and all the birds. She watches for hours. However, rats also began to enjoy the spilled seeds and set up home under the nearby shed. Eventually we tried this remedy and after a few days were disappointed to see the rats still scurrying between the shed and the seeds. But since three days after the remedy was sprayed we have not seen a single rat. The runs that showed where they always ran have grassed over and I am confident that despite the birds remaining very untidy eaters, that the rats have gone. (410)

Our compost heap was holding rats, so many that in winter they were coming into the roof space. We sprayed the preparation all over the property and haven't seen one rat since. We have ducks now and that would normally mean mice and rats but nothing. (1)
THE PROBLEM The experience of rat removal that we introduce has developed near the enterprise PUBLIREC of Collegno (TO - Italy), an enterprise that exploits plastics and the recoverable residues. The enterprise annually operates on 90,000 tons of refuse and inhabits on an area of 30,000 m2. The problem that has been introduced there consisted in an infestation of rats near the area of the installation, caused by the type of refuse treated in the enterprise, characterized by discreet levels of residual organic substance. The enterprise PUBLIREC had already had, in the past years, infestations of exceptional entity, and resorted to intensive treatments with chemical rat poison. Such interventions however did not show decisive results. In addition PUBLIREC had to confront some sanitary hygienic problem, following the dispersion of organic liquids and the remaining of some carcasses of the poisoned animals in the cable holes, in the stores or among the materials waiting for processing. The impact of such techniques on the biological cycle of the natural raiders (buzzards, owls, cats) has also not been negligible. THE INTERVENTION EUREKA intervened in 2003 with a series of treatments performed through a device conceived by us for radiating over large area surfaces the effect of the homeodynamic products (device = "Diffuser"). After a brief period of overlap among treatments with rat poison and homeodynamic preparations, in the months of January and February 2004 the traditional treatments with rat poisons were suspended leaving only with the method proposed by EUREKA. RESULTS: from the Techincal Director’s report: “The infestion degree has not just reduced, but zeroed. Results remain excellent and the rats’ presence in the enterprise area is none, both in daytime and in nighttime. The method, discouraging the presence and the development of rats, tends to resolve the problem at its origin”. (221)
We have not had any evidence of rats or mice for nearly 3 months since spraying a solution of Repellente Topo [mice and rat repellent] around our house. This has been particularly noticeable around the compost bin next to our greenhouse, which usually has a fair amount of activity. Would highly recommend this solution, we have found it is good value for money and very effective. (567)
