General Appearance
Sil. will cripple bark in healthy trees causing death. The suppuration it can set up is sufficient to destroy a plant or tree. Its indication in dieback has been confirmed in practice with remarkable results. A sapling with dieback, which had only one quarter of the bark left, which was loose and drying out, was given one dose of Sil. 6X and the next day, the bark was reattached to the cambium, and after one week, the top branches were growing new shoots and leaves. (3)
I applied Silicea 3C to the soil by spray and presently the plant grew vigorously. The stem height 50% is more than the control plants. The flower stem is thick and straight, and the stem nearly 29 cm in length. The color is so beautiful. (458)
Various vegetable plants that had remained stunted and did not seem to want to grow properly were watered twice from the watering can with Silicea 200 C with an interval of 10 days between each application. There was then a noticeable growth spurt and the plants are now looking strong and healthy. (496)
Stunted growth, dwarfism (337)
Use of Silicea significantly improved the leaf size and leaf production. (1759)
The highest germination values corresponded to SiT-7CH ... (100%), surpassing the control group (83.5%) (1535)
... substantial new growth along with a greener and glossier appearance of existing leaves. (1786)
Silica - For weak, neglected, dry plants. Plants will look limp and dry even shortly after water or always appear to be droopy. (1810)

Roots
Given only once at planting time. The plant will grow strong roots and firm shoots and leaves. Slimy roots. Need for nutrients, but inability to assimilate. (3)
Reduced water intake. (244)
I can also attest to the efficacy of Silicea, for late-planted & wind-stressed, bare root hornbeams. We thought we had lost most of a planting of 35. For a small edible woodland, this is quite a loss. Treated with Silicea after the workshop. Within 1 week, 28 had begun to produce new leaves, & a further treatment of Calendula brought back the remaining 7. (341)
Decaying roots (337)
Helps plants make use of the nutrients that are in the soil (1531)
The orchid was in a glass container, so the root system was visible for assessment. Prior to application of the Silica remedy the root system was brown and the plant consisted of two yellowing leaves each at approximately one inch in length. Within three days the root system began to turn green at the base of the plant. Within seven days of the remedy application a third leaf appeared. The two original yellowing leaves after one month grew to twice their initial size and returned to a bright green. The entire root system also returned to green. (1786)
Radicle length showed significant differences with the application of SiT-7CH (49.59 cm) compared to the control group (28.6 cm). (1865)

Stem/trunk and bark - capillary system
Bark dry and rough or missing. Fragile internodes (244)
With scale pest and oozing a thick brown yellow substance when scratched. Blackness on trunk and below trees.I had sprayed them with Coccus Cacti 6c and later with Silaca 30c ... noted the scales dryer and easier to dislodge. Also the black sticky exudate on leaves and stones below disappeared. While there was some decrease of black stickiness below trees with the Coccus I believe the Silaca was very useful. (748)
During the emergence stage, the treatments SiT-7CH (6.6 ± 1.11 cm) ... increased stem length significantly (1864)

Leaves
Fragile appearance of red spots (244)
I am so fascinated by this, had an amazing response to spraying a dying fruit tree wth silica. It was badly infested with curly leaf and had not grown for 2 years, a grafted tree. It has grownn all the leaves back curly leaf free and is starting to grow upwards. Truly amazing. (My husband was Astounded !! The tree we had for 2 years, It is a peacharine ( Peach/nectarine) grafted. It had never done anything, no fruit and was very sick with curly leaf since we bought, no chemicals are used by us, We moved 6 months ago to a different soil ( from a loamy volcanic to a clay soil which hold water). When we moved it rained for 10 weeks so tree was very very wet I assume. as summer approached curly leaf worse than ever, I read somewhere about trying silica on plants ( hx Silica 30c) so I dissolved two pillules in a sprayer and sprayed all the leaves, a really going over. within 24 hours all the leaves really curled up, turned black and dropped off. Within 7 days new leaf growth, fully leafed now, has grown about 4 inches, and is very very lush. We have missed another fruiting but I think it will be pretty good this time next year.) (468)
Mouldy layer under leaf - wipable. Silica brings new growth (337)
I had terrible black spot on my climbing rose this year - leaves yellowing with black spots and falling off, even young, healthy leaves affected. I gave the rose one dose of Sil 6X - used about 12 pellets diluted in one litre of water, then vigorously sucussed and shaken, then I added this to one full watering can (around 10 litre size. Watered the rose thoroughly, plus two other pot roses, one of which was definitely infected as well. I then spread a little manure around the base of the plants as Kaviraj advised me "to give the fungus something else to grow on". The black spot stopped dead. No more new leaves infected, and those that were bad fell off. In those that were just a little infected, the black spot changed colour to a deep, rusty red and the leaves carried on growing. I had a beautiful, amazing show of blooms. The rose has now been pruned, and is putting out more healthy new growth. I want to use Sil 6X on my beans for the black spot, but can't remember if I used it on them when they started germinating (makes for stronger plants), so I'm scared in case the blackfly gets worse. (18 aug 2013) (334)
I have a peach tree which has had curly leaf each year for at least 10 years. Early this year I gave it a few homeopathic treatments and this spring and summer there is no curly leaf. From memory I think I used Silica 6x and possibly Belladonna 30c in water. (817)
... this year we have few harlequin bugs around. Usually we are inundated throughout the garden. (817)
Leaf spot - spots gone and the basil leaves quadrupled in size (1531)
I recently saved a prize bonsai which suddenly dropped 90% of it’s leaves. Turns out the kids had left it out in the cold wind while caring for my plants. I used homeopathic Aconite and Silica together in a spray bottle – 2 sprays, 3 days apart and suddenly there were new leaves everywhere. I wish I had taken a before and after photo because you wouldn’t believe the luxurious foliage 8 weeks later. The wonders of homeopathy!! (1529)

Flowers
"Sets up premature flowering. Weakness in the generative sphere; small puny flowers. Bud worm. " (3)
Small or premature flowers. (244)
A year back I used Silicea for fungal disease of the Moringa olefera plant. I wasn't aware that the second dose of Silicea has effects on fruit setting. It flowered thrice, but with not even seen a single pod. (488)
We have aloe vera plants for decades. They love to live among us but they never gave flowers, yet ... Silicea did miracle. (555)
I got terrible blackfly on my runner beans. Struggled with soapy water and spraying them with hosepipe to try and remove the blighters - not great results. Then thought about trying Silica - BINGO!! 3 days later, all blackfly dead - dead!!! Shame I didn't do it straight off. Going to remember that one for next year. (334)
My lilies are blooming like crazy after one dose of Silica 200 for aphids 2 weeks ago. (1823)

Generative organs
Little or no pollen, immature stamen, (3)
Pollination impaired, absent. (244)

Fruit
Given after flowering, Sil. will help fruit setting. Fruits refuse to mature, and fall before maturity. (3)
In this area , this year has been the worst for blackspot in apples in a decade according to the man doing organic juices. (My neighbour, organic grower that exports each year had to give all his crop to the juicer). But I do not have it!!!!!!! For me was the best year. Best apples are the ones treated ONLY with Homoeopathy - silica, sambuccus, then aconite. And obviously you are right that the trees respond differently when they are together, but that is not because of a magic relation, is just because we are right in front of the origins of a miasma, when the disease is epidemic and acute and is no other hidden totality to be considered. Photos (336)
I tried to save my cousin's garden , and i was very pleased with how the plants responded. For example weather conditions and quality of soil were bad and i tried to save tomato plants by giving them Silicea. The tomato plants were stunted and the remedy helped them a lot by increasing their growth extremely. The interesting detail was that at the end of the season my cousin plants were the only plants in their neighbourhood which survived the bad conditions. (869)
My pear tree had only two-three pears for several years, one dose of sil. 6x and the trellast year produced loads of fruit! (334)

Seed
No seed formation (3)
Now again rice plantation time comes I put all rice in silicea 6 and planted. Wheat yields 2300 kilograms in acre 4-5 hundred kgs more than previous year. Neighbours had also more but i think they will be 200 kgs short of me. One thing seen, is that my wheat is not fallen during rain and winds. (611)
Hi....our rice has given output of 38 quintals per acre......thanks to you and homeopathy.....earlier it was never more than 28 or 30 quintals. I planted treated with silicea as you recommended. Thank you. (There were 3-4 people of our village present there they were not believeing how is this possible.) (342)

Notes and Academic Papers
Sil. type plants grow in sandy soils and there one will find few problems. It is plants that do not belong in those soils who experience problems. Silica is one of the key remedies in agricultural homoeopathy, as our tests have so far confirmed. Silica preparations must be used with caution because, as Silica can help green a desert, it can as quickly create one, with devastating effects. Silica is one of the great powers in nature, capable of destruction as well as healing depending on the skill of the practitioner. (3)
It is aggravated by cold in the morning or the onset of winter, worse during the full and new moon. Improved heat, (244)
Good tonic once aphids have been eliminated (337)
Very good tonic after scale has been eliminated (337)
Grey, white or black fungus (337)
Sensitive to draughts.
all sorts of pests - general plant strengthener.
Pesticides or acids contamination.
(337)
The magical 'go to' remedy in the garden because silica is what gives plants the structure. "If in doubt, give Silica!" Helps plants hold on to their water (1531)
The highest profitability of the crop (71.33%), with a benef it / cost ratio of 1.7% was obtained with Sil 7CH. (1535)
The variables evaluated during vegetative development were: plant height, stem diameter, number of leaves, weight, leaf area and productive yield. Significant differences were recorded in all the variables and stages of development studied. The highest germination values corresponded to SiT-7CH and PhA-7CH (100%), surpassing the control group (83.5%). The PhA-7CH and NaM-31CH treatments stimulated stem growth in the germination stage (3.40 cm) and NaM-7CH root growth (4.07 cm) in the emergence stage. During the vegetative development, the plants with the highest production were those treated with NaM-7CH. (1655)
The variables evaluated during germination and emergence were: percentage of germination and emergence, length of stem and radicle, fresh weight of the aerial part and radicle, dry weight of the aerial part and radicle. Samples of leaf tissue were taken at 6, 12, 24, 48 and 126 hours after treatment activity analysis for peroxidase. All treatments increased the enzyme activity in at least one of the times evaluated in comparison to the untreated control. The induction values were higher than commercial inductor (harpin). (1716)
...the leaf sections were fed to larvae in the third instar of S. frugiperda. We evaluated the variables: ingested food and feces produced by the caterpillars, weight gain, amount of food assimilated and metabolized. Corn plants treated with homeopathic Silicea terra 36CH was less consumed by the caterpillars, affecting all variables. This is probably due to this homeopathy affect resistance of plant tissues, hindering the supply of chewing. Silicea terra in 36CH applied in spray, demonstrated potential to be used in the management of fall armyworm in corn, but further studies should be conducted under conditions of field cultivation. (1726)
A comparison was made of homeopathic preparations with the control by Dunnett (p <0.05). Variables CPA[length Aerial parts], NTP[total number of plants], PE[number of wild plants] and NTTU[Total number of tubers], were not affected by homeopathic preparations, when compared with the control. Already in variable NTP[total number of plants] there were statistically significant differences, where treatments T4 and T5 showed a lower incidence compared to control plants, demonstrating that homeopathic preparations may interfere with the proliferation of weeds. (1728)
To evaluate the potential elicitor of homeopathic preparations on bean cv. Carioca, homeopathics Eucalyptus citriodora and Sulphur in dynamizations 12, 24, 30 and 60CH were applied via spray throughout the shoot. Fifteen days after application were evaluated for chlorophyll a, b and total, thirty days after treatment, we assessed total phenols. Treatments E. citriodora not alter the contents of chlorophyll, Silicea and Sulphur caused significant reduction in the levels of chlorophyll a and b. The phenolic compounds were reduced by the dinamizations Sulphur 12CH and E. citriodora 30CH. (1731)
Macroscopic analysis demonstrated that plants treated with homeopathy showed less spots than plants treated conventionally. Furthermore, homeopathic preparations induced shoot growing, better pattern of vegetative growth and less defoliation. (1745)
Homoeopathic solutions Silicea terra 30CH and isoterapic 6CH, 12CH and 30CH only presented 7, 17, 9 and 18% of the severity degree presented by the treatment controls (100%), respectively. (1750)
In the development of analysis it was observed that in almost all parameters evaluated the medicine Carbo vegetabillis 6CH, followed by Calcarea carbonica 12CH, Silicea terra 12CH, Phosphorus 12CH, Pulsatilla nigricans 12CH and the preparation of Acai 12CH contributed to a better performance of the seedlings. (1757)
